It’s
an Entertainment Sensation
Catch it – in the Heart
of the City
Feel the sizzling rhythms of the Caribbean
– the passion of the Latin heart and
West-Indian soul. Top international and
local Latin bands and Caribbean steel pan
orchestras transform Toronto’s Tourist
District into the tropics, creating a sensual
sensation Friday evening, June 22 at Metro
Square and Thursday evening, July 12 at
Yonge-Dundas Square. An Entertainment Program
is provided. Also, please view the artists’
biographies of 2007 Summer Sensation bands.
We invite you to start your weekend early.
Thornhill Swing Band recaptures the great
sounds of the Big Band Era – a tribute
to the Masters of Swing. Relive sweet memories
or create some new ones Friday evening,
June 22 at Metro Square and, again, Thursday
evening, July 12. Also enjoy traditional
highland dancing, the music of the Scottish
bag pipes, and the powerful performances
of mesmerizing Egyptian dance, African traditional
and modern dance fusion, Caribbean folk
dance, and traditional Cuban dance by consummate
Cuban artist Consuelo Herrera. Please view
the artists’ biographies of 2007 Summer
Sensation’s dynamic performers.
Come join us in the Square.
